Investment opportunity

Why are we looking for a partner

After 30 years of maintaining the land here at Ballena I am faced with the reality that I will never be able to improve the property or live permanently in the area if I don't share the investment and upkeep with others.  My options as the property prices and upkeep are increasing logarithmically are to sell outright, sell shares or find and equal partner.  My preferred option is to share the property and environmentally friendly dramatic improvements with an equal partner.

Partnership

Heartsong is incorporated and has a total of 30 shares, which can be divided as agreed on.  We would come to that mutual agreement on the substance of the partnership and the goals and development of Heartsong.    The greatest advantage of this to any investor who is not intimately familiar with the maintenance of a large piece of property and the legalities of a foreign government is that I have 36 years of experience in this particular are and would be glad to be the maintenance and logistics person as I plan to be permanently in the area to oversee the successful operation and protection of the investment and the land.  On the other hand if others wanted to share that responsibility that would be just as negotiable.  In short we would be reestablishing the directions and goals of Heartsong with the input and creativity of the investor.  Having lived and used the property for over 35 years I have creative ideas on it's potential use either as a private retreat and family trust or as a truly unique environmentally oriented tourist development.

The Investment

Although it was never my motivation for living here, the long term investment in this property is excellent.  This area is the last easily accessible coastal property along the new Pan American Highway started in 1985 and still not complete.   There is a 30 mile stretch of highway between Quepos and Dominical which has not been completed.  After 25 years under construction the brindges are being completed on this last stretch of highway.  That means that the heavy tourist traffic from the north has not yet reached this last unexploited stretch of pacific coast highway.  The local residents are doing all they can in advance to initiate restrictive development and rigid environmental protection of this area before it is too late and it becomes another overdeveloped tourist trap such as Jaco.
